A beautiful therapeutic experience
"Hi, I am Kyoko.
When we are stressed our body's defences break down and we become more susceptible to illness and disease. Medical doctors agree that many health issues today can be linked to stress.
I have developed a unique method of reflexology which draws on fourteen years of experience and training in many different fields. My treatment is more effective so you need fewer sessions.
"I look forward to meeting you ."
Reflexology interrupts the pattern of stress
By stimulating reflex points on the feet, hands and ears, reflexology aims to re-balance the body, improve sleep and mood, relieve stress and enhance wellbeing. This gentle, non-invasive therapy opens up the natural pathways your body used to nourish and heal itself.
What is Reflexology?
"Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principle that all the systems of the body are mapped out in reflex points on the feet, hands and ears. Stimulation of the approximately 7,500 nerve endings in the feet helps to open up the natural pathways your body uses to nourish and heal itself. Tender or ‘gritty’ points may indicate congestion in the corresponding area of the body. During the treatment a state of deep relaxation is created in the body, interrupting the pattern of stress and bringing balance to the body and its systems where there is imbalance. Reflexology is a well established holistic therapy which treats the mind and body as a whole to achieve a state of general well-being.
Although recently becoming much more popular and accepted in Western society, Reflexology has been practiced for thousands of years by Egyptians, Indians, Chinese, Native American cultures and Mayan and Incan civilizations. Evidence in inscriptions is found in the physician’s tomb at Saqqara in Egypt. It is widely accepted in many European countries as an accepted therapy. The Zone Theory was the precursor to modern Reflexology which began with Dr. William H. Fitzgerald, M.D. Actual Reflexology as we know it today, has its origins in the late 1930's, as developed by Eunice Ingham, a nurse and physiotherapist."
